NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited, a global leader in building internet communities, is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon (MINESEC) and NetDragon have entered into a landmark agreement to enhance digital education in Cameroon. This initiative, implemented as part of the World Bank-supported PADESCE (Cameroon Secondary Education and Skills Development Project), aims to address critical challenges in secondary education, improve equitable access and elevate the quality of teaching and learning in the country.
Under this partnership, the project will begin by focusing on the digital transformation of 250 schools across Cameroon, leveraging cutting-edge educational technologies to create a more inclusive and modern learning environment. The programme aligns with PADESCE’s broader objectives to strengthen access, equity, and quality in secondary education, supporting Cameroon’s National Development Strategy 2030 (NDS30).
Her Excellency Professor Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary Education, emphasised the importance of the collaboration: “This initiative, aligned with the PADESCE framework, is a critical step in ensuring that all students, regardless of their location, have access to quality education. By integrating digital tools and innovative teaching resources, we aim to reduce educational disparities, empower teachers, and prepare our youth to thrive in a global, knowledge-driven economy. This partnership with NetDragon demonstrates our commitment to transforming education and achieving our national development goals.”
Dr Simon Leung, Vice Chairman of NetDragon, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are honoured to support MINESEC and the PADESCE initiative in their mission to revolutionise education in Cameroon. By deploying scalable, sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of Cameroon’s schools, we aim to foster a digital learning environment that bridges gaps, empowers educators, and inspires students. This project is a testament to the potential of technology to transform lives and communities.”
The initiative will deliver Promethean’s APLX 65″ and OPS Android interactive flat panels, an integrated online/offline learning platform, and comprehensive teacher training. These resources are designed to improve the quality of education, enhance digital literacy, and equip both students and teachers with the tools they need to succeed in the modern world.
