Prospective scholars invited to attend an exclusive info session on 18 April.

Applications for the YTL Foundation Scholarship 2025 are now open and will close on 30 April 2025. Since 1997, the YTL Foundation has empowered outstanding students who embody its core values of hard work, honesty, moral responsibility, togetherness and vitality. The scholarship offers opportunities to pursue undergraduate studies, helping remove financial barriers for those with talent and drive to succeed.

As part of YTL Group’s enduring commitment to nation-building, the scholarship reflects the Group’s philosophy of Building The Right Thing—investing in education as a cornerstone for lasting social impact. By empowering talented young Malaysians to access learning opportunities, YTL Foundation seeks to nurture future leaders who will uplift communities, drive progress and help shape a better Malaysia.

To assist prospective applicants, the YTL Foundation will host an online information session on 18 April 2025. This session will provide valuable insights into the YTL Group’s mission and values, offer tips on submitting a strong application and a live Q&A to address any questions. Attendees will also hear from current YTL Scholars, who will share how the scholarship and internship opportunities have shaped their academic and professional journeys.

“The record-breaking 2,621 applications we received in 2024 – a 55% increase from the previous year, speak volumes about the trust students and families place in our mission. To us, this strong response reaffirms our commitment to nurturing future leaders through the power of education,” said YTL Foundation Programme Director, Dato’ Kathleen Chew.

The scholarship is open to Malaysian students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and genuine financial need. Eligible candidates must have strong results in SPM/IGCSE, STPM/Matriculation/Foundation, A-Levels, or IB and should be pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree.

Scholars will receive comprehensive support, including full tuition coverage, living expenses, paid internships, leadership development programmes and allowances for a laptop and phone or data plan.

Honouring Malaysia’s Brightest: The Yeoh Tiong Lay Award

Exceptional applicants demonstrating altruism, holistic values and strong community engagement, alongside academic excellence, will be considered for the prestigious Yeoh Tiong Lay Award. This special distinction is awarded to individuals who best exemplify the values of the late Tan Sri Dr Yeoh Tiong Lay and the YTL Group’s ethos of building a better society.

Kenzon Yeoh, YTL Foundation’s first visually impaired scholar, is a testament to the scholarship’s transformative impact. Supported by the Foundation, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computing (Cybersecurity) at Curtin University Malaysia and has gained hands-on experience through industry internships. Having recently completed his internship at YTL Construction, Kenzon contributed significantly to IT projects, demonstrating the scholarship’s ability to create real-world opportunities and foster independence.

Applications close on 30 April 2025. For more details and to apply, visit https://linktr.ee/ytlfoundation.
