For the first time, the Malaysia Education Awards (MEA) was held in the capital to recognise the commitment, innovation and professionalism of educators, particularly in the field of early childhood education and care.
According to the Treasurer of the Early Childhood Care and Education Council (ECCE Council), Jol Anne, the awards do not only recognise institutional achievements but also serve as a tribute to the passion and dedication of educators in shaping the nation’s future generation.
“It is part of the ECCE Council’s mission to support this profession to ensure that every child in Malaysia receives a proper education in a loving environment,” she shares during her speech at the event held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
At the prestigious awards ceremony, the organisers honoured Dato’ R. Rajendran with the ceremony’s highest accolade: The Lifetime Achievement Award in Early Childhood Education Industry (Individual Category). This award recognises his profound impact on the nation’s educational landscape, marking a career defined by visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to nurturing Malaysia’s youngest learners.
